Sustainable Travel

At Platinum Jubilee Business Park we’re very keen on protecting the environment and one way we can do this is by using sustainable travel methods.

 

On this page we wish to highlight some of these methods.

Car share

By car sharing we can half the amount of fuel used to travel to work, reducing emissions and saving money at the same time.

 

There are numerous car share websites and apps available, www.Liftshare.com/uk  is very popular and also has advice on safe car sharing that we would recommend you look at before starting to share with anyone you don’t already know.

Public Transport

Bus and rail have long been established as a sustainable and safe way to travel; to help plan your journeys you could use one of the numerous travel planning sites, such as www.traveline.info or www.google.co.uk/maps

Cycling

We encourage cycling here at PJBP, there are covered cycle storage facilities all around the site and all business units have shower facilities and lockers for storing your cycling gear.

We want you to get to work and home again safely so we would encourage all cyclists to follow the safe cycling guidance provided at www.think.gov.uk/themes/cycling/.
